Pick another pocket or two....
PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. -- A former inmate should
have checked the pockets of his old clothes when he decided to swap
them for new duds in a shopping mall dressing room and leave without
paying.Instead, Vincenzio James Capizzano left an old prison ID
badge in the clothing, a move that helped lead to his arrest. Capizzano
was located Monday night when deputies pulled over a car he was a
passenger in because the vehicle ran off the road. The
25-year-old allegedly made the clothing swap at Beall's Outlet in the
Promenades Mall on July 3, Charlott County authorities said. Capizzano
was released from prison June 27 after serving time on a cocaine
possession charge. When arrested Monday, Capizzano was charged
with retail theft in addition to possession of cocaine and possession
of drug paraphernalia. He was held on $9,000 bond. The driver of
the car, Michele Rene Manion-Bryan, 40, of Port Charlotte, was charged
with possession of a controlled substance, possession of medication
without a prescription and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was
held on $12,000 bond.It was not known if Capizzano or Manion-Bryan had lawyers.
